2 families, 1 week - Morocco!!

We are 2 sisters and our families travelling to Morocco this April 2012 (first week, just before Easter). Kids will be 8, 11, 11, and 14 years old. We are planning a trip that I know would be better with a few more days, but we just don’t have them. The camel trek in the Sahara seems like something we can’t pass up, so we have a speedy itinerary. I know it’ll be tiring and am curious how others have done such a trip and if they’d do it again. We plan to hire a driver (1 car/bus to hold all of us - Road Trip Morocco!), so are thinking this might make this crazy itinerary not too bad and actually fun?! On top of it all, we’ve heard such nice things about Essaouira, so are considering tacking that on the last day (if we’re beat, we’d do another day in Marrakech instead.)

We’d love to get feedback on our tentative plans and am wondering about others who have done a trip like this.

Arrive late on Day 0
Day 1 – Marrakech (with half day guide)
Day 2 – Marrakech to Ouarzazate to Dades Gorge (5-6 hours of driving)
Day 3 – Dades Gorge, Todgra Gorge, Merzouga, Erg Chebbi (4-5 hours of driving)
Day 4 – Erg Chebbi, Merzouga, Nekob, Ait Ben Haddou (5 hours of driving)
Day 5 – Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech (4 hours of driving)
Day 6 – Either day trip to Essaouira (if are up to it? ~2 hours each way) or another day in Marrakech
Leave early Day 7

Has anyone had experience with YourMoroccoTour http://www.your-morocco-tour.com/?

These were the riads we are considering with Your Morocco Tour:
Riad Caesar or Riad Princess Du Desert in Marrakech
Xaluca Dades in Dades Gorge (seems like this is the one a lot of people use)
Rose Du Sable in Ait Ben Haddou

Clothing - My daughter is the soon to be 14 year old. I’ve told her no shorts, midriff bearing shirts, tanks or sleeveless Ts. Will it be ok for her to wear short sleeve shirts? Can my 11 year old son wear long shorts (to the knee)? How cold could it be the first week of April in the High Atlas, Erg Chebbi? Is a fleece w/windbreaker/raincoat enough? Silk long underwear underneath?

For the camel trek, are jeans possible? What have others worn? Another itinerary we looked at had camel trekking out of Essaouira, but I'm thinking this just isn't the same as Erg Chebbi?

Interested in things other children/pre-teens/teens enjoyed the most.

Thank you all! Have thoroughly enjoyed reading through the many posts on Morocco so far!
