I want to get my TEFL teaching certificate, i am wondering if i should reconsider the thought to teach in thailand because i might be to young. Is their any other destinations in Asia that i would be able to teach with TEFL certificate and being only 18 years old.

1) Why don't you ask this question on a teacher's forum?

2) Also you want your TEFL (teach English as a Foreign Language) yet your own English has grammatical errors. Maybe you shouldn't be trying to teach English until yours is better!

After many recent scandals, most Thai schools will also require a degree. Yes, someone might hire you with just the certificate, but their standards would, most likely, be lacking, both for the students and the faculty.

This is not an appropriate form for this topic ... consult Thaivisa.com as they have a dedicated thread on this subject. Also, although the requirements vary from school to school, my understanding is you need to have a 4-year degree and be at least 20 years of age or older.

however you are likely to hit a brick wall without a degree.

Beware of p[laces that say they'll train you - as you still may not get a job.
PS - most jobs are for native English speakers - not all though

'Ignore spelling and typo nazis' applies only in context, as in most BB usage. But when someone holds themselves up to be qualified to do something then they sure had better know their subject.
