Social Coupons like Groupon for City Trips?
So I use Groupon in my home city a lot, and a friend was just telling me about a great helicopter tour they got for a steal. It got me thinking, would it be just as easy to sign up temporarily and get deals for a planned trip?
Has anyone done this? I'd love to hear about your experiences. Specifically, I'm wondering if they are too many restrictions to make things difficult to use in a short time frame.

I have done this for a trip last month to Phoenix and for my trip to San Francisco this month as well for my home city.
It is easy to add additional cities and then remove them after the trip; I would add them as soon as you know you are going to get a better chance of finding something that will work for you.
Most deals to have expiration dates, so keep that in mind and always read the fine print. Also, if you get buyers remorse, they are pretty good about refunding $ to you if you haven't used the groupon yet. I also think they will do refund if you aren't satisfied with deal after you use it, but not 100% sure on that one.

I purchased the Groupon for the Heinz Museum Family ticket by signing up for Pittsburgh; I live in Philadelphia, and am signed up for that as well. It was easy, and saved me a considerable amount on the entrance cost. (I got it for my sister and her family, and even was able to send the forms directly to her.) She hadn't gotten the card yet, but they said to just take the email; she did, and got the admission, book (worth $30 by itself; I think the Groupon cost was $59) and a year's worth of admission to the Heinz and other museums!

DebitNM - I agree the expiration date is key, I have purchased some for my home city in the past with what seemed like an endless amount of time to redeem. But then I had to rush to fit it in because it wasn't on the top of my mind.
