Sunday Brunch in Washington DC

We will be travelling to DC in early December and would like to go out for Sunday brunch. Any suggestions?

You don't say where you're staying, but I always love brunch at the Old Ebbitt Grill, which is on 15th very near the White House. www.ebbitt.com

Yes, lots! D.C. is THE place to brunch. For a brunch with a view, do the buffet at POV on the roof of the W Hotel: http://bitcheswhobrunch.com/brunch-a...t-the-w-hotel/

Or, for fabulous, fabulous food and service, try Acadiana: http://bitcheswhobrunch.com/brunch-at-acadiana/

Or, if you're looking for the best DEAL in town, do the $35 unlimited EVERYTHING at Masa 14: http://bitcheswhobrunch.com/masa-14-brunch/

So many options! Let's brunch!

Georgia Brown's has a nice jazz Sunday bruch. Cafe Atlantico does a good brunch.

Yes, there are a lot of good brunch places. But I respectfully submit that the BEST brunch has not been mentioned yet: TABARD INN

It is so good, in fact, that it may already be too late to secure a reservation for early December (call them now, you can always cancel in you are convinced you do better in the next few weeks). The food, value, drinks, atmosphere, and service are all spot on. Conveniently located 2 blocks from the Dupont Metro station.

I really like the jazz brunch at Chef Geoff's downtown, around Pennsylvania and 13th. It's also a very convenient location for tourists who are usually down around that area.

I actually don't think DC has that many great brunch places at a reasonable price, but I'm not big on certain kinds of cuisine in general, but particularly not for brunch when I want more basic things (ie, I don't like Louisiana southern stuff nor unusual ethnic food for brunch, such as some of the above suggestions--I want eggs Benedict, pancakes, stuff like that).

We recently had brunch at Estadio on 14th St. between P and Q, and it was great. It's not a big production brunch, no mimosas or anything like that, just small plates of breakfast dishes like soft scrambled eggs with goat cheese and mama mia, the Spanish toast (which is their version of french toast, aha!) is to die for.

I second the recommendation for the Tabard Inn. Some other options to consider:

Bistro Bis:

The Garden Cafe at the National Gallery:
