Wangz hotel - Singapore
Hi all, it's our first time to Singapore next month. Has anybody come across or heard about the Wangz hotel which is obviously brand new? http://www.wangzhotel.com
It seems to be near Chinatown on the Outram Rd which rather appeals to me (though having never been to Singapore before that might be a misapprehension!) Haven't found any reviews or comments anywhere at all but the website looks good. Does anyone have any info as intending to stay here on our last 2 nights in Singapore - for the first two nights at the start of our trip we're going to the Conrad.
Many thanks

That is a new one for me. The location is interesting - not in the middle of things but close enough. I like the Chinatown area, although the hotel is a bit of a walk from the center of it. For two nights, I would "risk it".

If you can prebook without penalty/prepay then book when you are at the conrad check it out if you dont like it cancel!
I'm with Michael i like the Chinatown area of SP. The Scarlett is an intersting option there also.

Wangz Hotel is approx. 10 min away from the outram station and 20mins from chinatown. An accessible place away from the busy city.
You might want to also check out New Majestic Hotel, Scarlett Hotel or even the Hotel 1929 which is nearer to chinatown.

Thanks all. Haven't pre-paid so will check it out and report back. Rooms look nice and big which is unusual for boutique hotels and they were so friendly when I rang up to book that I thought i'd give them a go.

Forgot to report back on this one. Hotel was stunning, absolutely spanking new - we had a lovely room, very stylish with all the modcons and the staff were incredible, couldn't do enough for us. Location is quite unusual and you do have to walk for a bit or get a cab to get to the shops or restaurants but it's nice to be a bit out of the way and the mainly residential neighbourhood is pleasant to walk through once you get off the main roads.
