Contact Romeshuttlelimousine.com and see if they will take you for €40. It does depend on where in Rome you are headed. But places in the historic center should be €40. We used them to depart to the airport and they wee there to pick us up on the dot at 7 a.m. We ended up tipping the driver €10 but that was because it was all the euros I had left and decided we didn't need to hang onto them.

Taxi from FCO is a set fee of 40€ for four people including luggage. There is talk of raising it, but that hasn't been approved yet. Here's the link from the airport website.
http://www.adr.it/portal/portal/adr/...vo_in_taxi_FCO
The website used to state that the set rate was 40€ for an official Roma taxi, but an official city of Fiumicino taxi could charge 60€ (I guess they assume they have to return to Fiumicino where a Rome taxi doesn't). This is no longer listed on the website, but I would look for the official Rome taxi. Scroll down for a picture.

I use www.inlimorome.com
Adriano Tavella
He charges 50€ each way. He'll be waiting for you outside the baggage claim, and takes you right to your hotel. It's worth the little extra to use a car service, I think.

From Airport to Rome Termini and then a taxi to Piazza Navona is cheaper. Taxis run about 15 euros from there, they charge a base fee and then 2-3 euros for each bag.<<<
How would that be cheaper? The train from FCO to Termini is 14€ per person and then you would still have to pay a taxi so for two people it would 43€ for train+taxi. A taxi from the airport to your hotel is 40€. They are trying to raise the price from FCO to Rome, but it hasn't been passed yet (it's in the process).

Please remember when comparing prices to keep in mind the distinction between a shared shuttle and a private transfer service. The drivers from most of the private services will meet you inside the terminal. A shared shuttle may work out to be a few euro cheaper, depending on the number of people in your party, but you also may have to trek all over the city while the driver drops off travelers at their hotels...

Yes, I think I will either get a cab outside the airport or the car sent from our hotel (50 euro). Probably the latter, as we may be a little jet lagged and having someone waiting for us will be worth the extra 10 euro. Thanks for your input.
