Is renting a car an option? Taxi will be expensive due to the distance. Not sure about shuttle, contact your hotel for suggestions.

Is your hotel in Miami or Miami Beach (aka south Beach)? They are two separate places.

Are you flying into FLL? If so, check out Go Shuttle (similar to Supershuttle, which currently doesn't serve FLL). I live in Miami and have used them on occasion. You can catch one as you exit the airport terminal, without a reservation.

Check into super shuttle. They offer service from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. It's less than an hour drive. There are other shared van services. But also work out the logistics for getting back. Does your cruise line offer transfers. Most do and will sell them even if you don't book airfare through them. HAL will offer transfers for free even if you don't book an air and sae package from them.
