Renting a car in Jordan

I am leaving for a six day trip in Jordan, visiting Petra, Jarash, Agaba and Dead sea. We are thinking on renting a car. What is your opinion? Should we be better by having a car with a chofer? How dificut it is to drive in Jordan? Are the street signs in English in addition to Arab/?

Thanks

I recall seeing signs in English. I was not driving in Jordan but most roads looked pretty decent. I would consider driving if I ever go back.

We had a guide and driver but could have easily driven ourselves - plenty of English road signs and good drivers (but we had a lot of fun with the guide and driver so happy we did it that way)

Good roads and signage in English. We too had a driver/guide/vehicle.
