What is best world cover travel insurance?
I stay in UK and at end of month will travel to China and need to get travel insurance, probably annual in case I go off again somewhere in a years time. Previously I was with Direct Travel Insurance, they seem to have good cover and are reasonable, but do you know a better one?

There you'll be able to compare policy terms and premiums for just about every type of Travel Insurance policy available. The companies listed are all very reputable.
You shouls know there are various types of policioes and it is rare that one policy will cover all risks. You have to read the policy terms carefully to be sure the policy you purchase covers the type of risk you wish to insure against.

First of all, this poster is British. Travel Guard is a U.S. company. You need to do some research on policies in the UK, which has a very robust travel insurance industry. However, I just don't know much about it.

I know there are many types of policies. The most important is a travel medical plan that allows for evacuation. However, I don't know what kinds of policies are sold in the UK. Perhaps one of our UK posters will find this post and respond to you, but I can't offer you any more help because I don't know what kind of travel you'll be doing, where you're going (other than a vague mention of "China"), or even if you are a British national (you say you are living in the UK ... not that you are a citizen there).
If you are happy with the travel insurance you have purchase in the past, why would you change now?
