Best Traveler's Information Websites - please add your favorites

I do a lot of planning before I go on a trip. These are some of the websites I consult to gather information about the countries I will be visiting. I tried to include everything I could think of. I especially like to listen to the radio and read the newspaper in English before I go. I am still missing a good website for local events and festivals. I also need more local street map websites. Please, please, please add your favorite websites to the list!

Wow, that's quite a list. Oddly, I managed to travel round the world, mostly on the ground, using hardly any of them! Just xe.com, cdc.gov and occasionally babelfish. I'm much more interested in transport sites like bahn.de and seat61.com, and hotel & restaurant info. And good old fashioned guidebooks, of course. I use them for holiday & festival info.

There is another great list of these that has been compiled over the last several years. I am not sure where it is right now, but it is here somewhere!
