My husband and I will be traveling on a vacation to the Philippines for 2 weeks in March. We are US citizens and have valid passports. I understand that we do not need a tourist visa for this short trip. My question is does anyone know if we have to have a completely blank entry/departure page in our passport for Philippines immigration (some countries that we have traveled to, like Cambodia, require this)? Or do we just need to have a blank entry and a blank departure square on the entry/departure page (each entry/departure page is divided into 4 squares)? I ask this because I do not have one completely blank entry/departure page, but do have blank entry and departure squares open. I want to make sure that this will be OK for our trip to the Philippines. Thanks.

The Philippines does not require a visa for short tourist visits, so you only need room for entry and exit stamps. These should be on the same page or facing pages. Cambodia requires a full page because you need a visa, which takes a full page, along with another half page for the entry and exit stamps.

However, given that you have more than a month before your trip, why not have more pages added to your passport? You can do this up to three times before you need to replace the passport.

Well, I live in Bangkok, so I just pop down to the embassy to have it done. I'm not sure this is something you really need a service for.

I recently had pages added to my passport--because on my trip, in two weeks, I will also be visiting Cambodia, and I did not think I had adequate pages for their visa, etc. Anyway, I sent mine to the US Passport Office,(I believe the mail-to address was in Philadelphia) whose web address I got through Google and, when on the site, I was able to print the required form to send the necessary information. It was FREE!!
Just thought you might try this before using a service and having to pay for it. Ciao!!MHM

Additional Information re:extra Visa Pages: If you Google " How to add extravisa pages to US Passport" it comes up with a category which gives you a page to download and print, and the address to which it and your current passport should be sent.

Be sure to give yourself plenty of time--during the busy sprint/summer vacation period, the Passport Office may be swamped. Ciao! mhm

Your passport is fine. With all the time you have add the pages as other suggested. The main requirement here is you must have your return ticket or a ticket to another destination in hand at the immigration desk. They will check.

I returned from the Philippines 2 months ago. They had an entry stamp and an exit stamp and that was it. While you are in Manila you can find out what days you can get some pages added to your passport at the embassy. I got my free pages in Bangkok a few years ago, I think the whole process took around 40 minutes. Make sure you have the required 6 months remaining in your passport counting from the last day of your visit.
