Restaurants & market in Red Hook, St. Thomas?

Are there restaurants open for lunch and/or dinner in Red Hook, St. Thomas? Also is there a market in Red Hook to pick-up beverages and snacks? Thanks for any help.

We enjoyed eating at Molly Malone's.
The grocery stores are Marina Market and Food Center. Hope this helps.

If you take a taxi to Red Hook are the restaurants and marina market within walking distance from each other? Does Red Hook have any other things to see and do? Thanks again for information.

here's a partial list of st. thomas restaurants: http://www.frommers.com/destinations...97_inddin.html
anything that says east end, except havana blue(at marriott), is in or near red hook. click on any to see hrs and brief description a/or menu link.

yes to taxi then walking question. no to sightseeing. red hook is really just shops and restaurants, a few local businesses and the ferry.
you can get bevs and snacks in the market. they have good deli items.
a place for a very nice lunch and swim would be secret harbour/blue moon cafe. casual beachfront dining. you'd need a separate taxi to get there (10 min ride from red hook).
where are you staying?

There's a place called Burrito Bay that makes very good sandwiches for lunch and dinner. You could get snacks there too.

My local friends like East End Cafe, an Italian restaurant, for dinner in Red Hook. I've never been there personally.

The Marina Market is a good supermarket (by VI standards) in Red Hook, where you could get beverages and snacks. They also make sandwiches at a little deli counter, but you'd be better off going to Burrito Bay.

I've never eaten at Molly Malone's, but they make a good pain killer.

All of these places are within walking distance of each other and the ferry dock, but if you're being dropped off by a taxi, ask the driver to take you exactly where you want to go, rather than dropping you off at the ferry dock where most people go. It shouldn't cost any more, and it'll save you a few minutes of walking.

The East End Cafe serves great Italian food for dinner -- casual atmosphere, reasonable prices, excellent quality and large portions. For fish/seafood dinners, go to Off the Hook. Molly Malone's is decent for lunch, with pub food and sandwiches. Duffy's Love Shack, a funky bar and night spot, serves good, filling lunches and sells fun T-shirts and other logo souvenirs. The Marina Market is a good place to buy beverages and snacks.
