Need London hotel ASAP, departing in 4 days

Please Help - I'm starting to freak out. I'm leaving for London in 4 days, & it turns out my original hotel choice is a bit of a dump (Cranley Gardens Hotel). Need a replacement ASAP. I'm looking for a nice hotel, good location, 3 stars, preferably under $300 USD a night, for a triple (3 adults). Definitely close to train (or bus). Am I living in a fantasy world to think i could find one that meets those requirements? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have you considered Priceline? Head to www.biddingfortravel.com and look at the bids people have won for London hotels. I'll be there next week and we're staying at the Holiday Inn Regent's Park for $121 a night.

Use the biddingfortravel website to research prices and then make your bid on Priceline. The only hangup will be needing a triple for 3 adults. You need to consider bidding for two rooms or taking your chances and doubling up.

Good luck,

Marla

Forgot to add, use www.tripadvisor.com to research individual hotels.

Priceline? I got the Kensington Forum Holiday Inn last month for $135 plus taxes by bidding on a 4 star. You would need 2 rooms, as Priceline guarantees a room for 2 people.

Check out www.biddingfortravel.com to see what bidding strategies and what rates people are getting.

Maybe www.laterooms.com would be a good source of info for you... You can search for a triple room or a double and a single. Good luck.

You can try Hotwire, which allows you to enter 3 adults in the search.

Otherwise, I'd also take a look at Laterooms.com and Lastminute.com and Ratestogo.com and the Holiday Inn web site (because the HI chain most often seems to have options that work well for 3 people).

You could also look at www.londontown.com if you want a very specific establishment.

I don't know who told you Cranley Gardens was a dump. It is a bit old fashioned but clean and in an excellent location
