Paris- Genoa train transportation
1. Train from Paris - Nice How long in time?
2. Nice to Genoa is there a train or do I need to rent a car?
3. Train from Genoa to Cinq Terre
Is this the best way to get there? If not please give me suggestions.
I will be going in September. Thank You

For international rail schedules, use www.bahn.de.
From Paris to Genova, the quickest route is by TGV to Torino, then from there to Genova.
From Paris to the Cinque Terre, you can get a TGV to Milano, then a direct train to Monterosso.
From Nice to Genova, there are a few through trains, or frequent French trains from Nice to Ventimiglia, the first station in Italy, then trains about every hour onwards to Genova.

recently priced Nice-Genoa on RailEurope and they had $38 2nd class for two people and not much more in first class - one of the few routes that RailEurope is competitive on it seems. Of course RE would put an $18 mailing fee and $15 order fee on - i always advice BETS (800-441-2387), a RE agent who won't charge the $18 mailing fee and have expert service. but always check www.trenitalia.com or www.voyages-sncf.com first.
