Jamaica-Cuba?
Hi all,
I'm going to be traveling around the Caribbean (DR, Trinidad/Tobago, Jamaica) and have heard that there are ferries that leave from Jamaica and go to Cuba. Can anyone confirm/deny this, and more importantly give me any details?
Thanks!

You can get there by plane or private boat but to my knowledge, no ferries make the trip. Carolyn Barrett
([email protected]) does MoBay or Porty to Cuba aboard her ketch
'The Lark'. E-mail her for details...

Not sure if Air Jamaica still does the Cuba trip. You can check their website http://www.airjamaica.com/default.aspx.
One tour group that I know of and have actually travelled to Cuba with is Tropical Tours : http://www.tropicaltours-ja.com/cuba.htm
As Tiverton said, I am not aware of a ferry service. But then I didn't even know of the Carolyn Barrett thingy either.

You might not want to tell others, on a public forum, that you are planning on going to Cuba as an American citizen. It is illegal, and although I do not agree with it, the Bush administration has increased enforcement of the law, resulting in onerous fines ($5k+). Even though you are first traveling to another country, Jamaica, before going to Cuba, it is still illegal.
