3-4 bedroom rental in/near Heavenly Village?

We're a group of 6 adults and 5 children (age 12 and under) heading to Heavenly Ski Resort on Tahoe's south shore in March for 4+ days of skiing. We'd like to rent a 3 or 4 bedroom property near the gondola in Heavenly Village.

I've been looking online and the largest property I've found to rent is 2 bedrooms. Does anyone know a complex/resort that has larger rentals?

Thanks,
Marla

Have you checked for a house? I think I've seen 4 bedroom sleeps 12 before, but I haven't looked lately. Also vrbo.com if you haven't checked there yet.

I looked at vrbo.com (we've had several successful rentals from vrbo over the years!), but can't find anything within walking distance of the gondola.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place on vrbo.com. Is the gondola area in NV or CA? VRBO has everything divided into neighborhoods. While reading property descriptions, I kept looking for something like "three blocks from the Heavenly Village gondola", but I didn't see anything.

Thanks,

Marla

The part of South Lake Tahoe near the Heavenly gondola/village area where you are within walking distance to the casinos probably doesn't have anything large enough for you. We stayed in a large 2 story Unit at the Marriott Grand which is right next to the gondola and while it was really large, I don't think you'd be happy with 11 people in it.

There are condos up on the hill in Nevada that are within walking distance to a heavenly lift. Tahoe Ridge is one that comes to mind. Also you can search in the area off ski run blvd. The original Heavenly tram is located at the top of Ski Run.

I usually rent from Lake Tahoe Accommodations. They specialize in luxury rentals

Heavenly (and many of the LT ski resorts for that matter) doesn't have the usual ski resort selection of accomodations. Near the gondola you will find mostly casino hotels, mom and pop motels, an Embassey Suites and the Marriott property. There may be some rental homes near Ski Run Blvd. However, the homes in those areas are pretty run down, and probably not what you are expecting. On the Nevada side, you might be able to find something.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I dug around on vrbo last night and found 2 3 bedroom/loft condos at the Marriott resort. They're expensive, but maybe they will work.

If that's the Marriott Grand condo with the loft, I've stayed in that unit. There are two complete master bedrooms with private baths. The loft has a fold out couch and the loft is quite large. Depending on the ages of the kids they would all be able to sleep in the low ceilinged part of the loft while the 3rd couple made use of the fold out bed. Or the kids/3rd couple could sleep downstairs in the living room which had a fold out couch and sleeping areas on either side of the fireplace that were large enough for our children to sleep on. There is a 3rd full bath on the first floor of the unit. Full kitchen, dining room table, living room, and one of the master bedrooms are also on the first floor.
