Sue,

I believe that it's in Puerto Rico. The Wyndham? I remember reading about it awhile back with currents and lagoons.

You're probably thinking of the one in the former Hyatt Cerromar. The Cerromar is no longer open as a hotel, but the river pool and all other facilities are still open, part of a new timeshare complex called Hyatt Hacienda del Mar.

My favorite is Hyatt Hill Country, San Antonio (Texas, that is). Yes, I know it's not in the Caribbean.

PRnative -

You're right, that was the one I was thinking of. Good to know that it's still open as people really had ooh'ed and aah'ed over it.

Well, the Cerromar pool was frequently advertised as the world's longest river pool, but it was built at least 15 years ago. By now I'm sure there are others that top it. The Cerromar pool is supposed to be close to 1800 feet long.

The Grand Wailea in Maui has all kinds of water slides, etc., but that Lazy River Pool at the Cerromar was awesome.
