Critique our restaurant choices!
We are leaving for our honeymoon in less than a month! We will be spending 4 nights on Anguilla (Cap Juluca), 3 on St. Martin (Le Petit), and 5 on St. Kitts (Marriott). I made a list of restaurants I'd like to try on each island based on reviews and recommendations. We're foodies and enjoy both nice and more casual restaurants. Will you experts take a look and let me know if there are any I am missing or should take off? We'll have a car on each island so we'll be able to drive wherever.

Well, I can only give my opinion for Anguilla and Nevis.
For Anguilla, I would think about adding Tasty's, Smokeys, Trattoria Tramonte, Zurra and Palm Grove. Ok, that's a lot but each is open for lunch. We spent seven days on Anguilla and ate at 15 or 16 different restaurants.
On Nevis, I highly recommend the Double Deuce. I liked it better than Coconut Grove, but that's just my opinion. It's more laid back, but Coconut Grove has a killer wine list. I would say to have dinner at Montpelier, but I don't think that'll work.
Have fun! Write a quick trip report when you get back. My brother-in-law and soon to be bride are leaving for Nevis and St. Martin at the beginning of June and I'd love to give them some good advice.

On St. Kitts, Turtle Beach Bar and restaurant is no longer open. It is being redone into a more upscale dining attraction for the massive new development in the area. Should be open shortly, so maybe it might be another alternative for you.
The owners of Turtle Beach Bar have opened another bar/restaurant at Cockleshell Beach. It's called the Reggae Beach Bar and is similar to their old place.
If you go to Cockleshell Beach, don't miss going over to Lion's Beach bar for a less crowded, congenial drink or lunch.
There are so many good lunch choices on Nevis, it would be hard to decide. I haven't been to the Coconut Grove yet. I don't know when you're going but check on Nevis to make sure it's open the day you plan to go.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. You'll be experiencing 3 very different islands on your honeymoon. Very nice.
My husband and I also love nothing better than a good meal.

For Anguilla, I'd keep Blanchards, Veya, and Picante. I would want to add Straw Hat (built on stilts out over the water...beautiful at night with the lights), Mango's (right on the beach...go on Monday or Thursday for live music) and maybe Koal Keel (in a historic building with rum tasting and wine cellar tour afterwards).

DaveFromCA- I'm glad you added some lunch places bc I had completely forgotten about lunch in my focus on finding yummy and romantic dinners
I don't think we'll be back in time for your brother-in-law and his new wife- I said we leave in less than a month bc we're leaving on the 3rd for our destination wedding in Mexico, then on the 9th we head to the Caribbean and will be back the 22nd. I will still try to post a review, but I have a feeling they won't see it (though maybe we'll run into them somewhere!)

I see you have Il Netunno listed. Another excellent restaurant in Grand Case is Spiga.. also Italian and IMHO the best on the island.
Also since you are staying in Grand Case, be sure to eat lunch or a simple dinnet at the lo los. These are local outdoor grill restaurants at the pier... cheapest deal in town with suburb food.
If you need 2 weeks in Anguilla for fabulous restaurants you need 3 weeks in St. Maarten LOL

I have eaten at all of your choices in St. Martin except for Le Pressior. Very nice!
When you day trip to Nevis, I'm not sure that Coconut Grove is open for lunch. I personally love it there and Gary (the owner) will gladly tell you about the tree that was used to make the fabulous bar. It is pricey, but we have loved it for the last couple of years for dinner. A plantation inn lunch might be better suited for you. Just a thought if you are only there for the day. If you want good food and a laid-back experience, head to Oualie Beach Hotel. Vaden, Moi and Trevor will take good care of you. You can watch the water and go in shorts and flip flops.
Your St. Kitts list is excellent. We loved hanging at Turtle Beach, but as someone else stated, it has closed. I've heard great things about Reggae Beach Bar and they have their famous pig, Wilbert back from Turtle Beach.
A thought from me who plans every detail....don't overplan and be ready to make changes. I have learned that over the years. I, too, go with lists and printouts of research. Be ready to roll with the punches and don't be disappointed if you have to make some changes. The best advice we have received has been from taxi drivers. I've even learned to pack with a minimal amount of shoes and clothes! We don't rent cars....like to have someone tell us about their "home" and learn from them. They make excellent recommendations. Food for thought, so to speak.

This year in Nevis (in March) the Coconut Grove had a sign out that they were open for lunch. I don't remember their being open last year so maybe it's new. I believe they also have lounge chairs on the beach for their customers.
Another idea for a Nevis lunch that would give you a little plantation inn atmosphere is Bananas. It's in a lovely caribbean style building on the hillside with an open shaded dining veranda and a beautiful view over the water.
Montpelier and Golden Rock also have terrific views.

Inquire about the tasting menu at Veya.Be sure to have the lobster cakes at Blanchards. Le pressoir was amazing! Check out the specials, if they have the foie gras macaroons - dont miss out. Have fun, sounds like an amzing trip.

Though the atmosphere is lovely at Ottley's, we had a pretty bad dining experience there. Perhaps we were unlucky enough to visit on an off night--I'm not sure. But our servers, while pleasant, were inept. They brought us the wrong food twice, the wrong drinks twice, and the food was mediocre. I'm sorry that we didn't go to Serendipity instead, though the atmosphere wasn't as romantic.

Shiggidy Shack is THE place to be on Thursday nights. You should also try Buddy's Restaurant on South Frigate Bay. (Delicious ribs)
I also recommend PJ's Restaurant (delicious pizzas and pasta) which is a short walk from The Marriott.
Lion's Beach Bar on Cockleshell is also a must.
In Nevis definitely visit Chevy's Beach Bar on beautiful Pinney's Beach.

The St. Kitts Beach House (formally Turtle Beach Bar and Grill) is now open. I would definately recommend it. Reggae Beach Bar and Lion's Beach Bar on Cockelshell Beach are both great places for lunch. Mr. X's Shiggidy Shack is a MUST. Best lobster and fresh fish on the island. For that "special" dinner, Serendipity gets my vote. The food and service is outstanding. PJ's has very good Italian food and pizza. Stonewalls, in town, is another good choice for either lunch or dinner. I hope you have a wonderful time in St. Kitts. It is a beautiful island.
