Flying Singapore Air from JFK through Frankfurt...A Question!

Has anyone flown Singapore Air from JFK thru Frankfurt and on to Singapore? I'm just wondering if you get off the plane in Frankfurt since it doesn't look like the stop there is for very long (maybe 1 1/2 hrs.) I'm hoping we can get off for a bit so that I can ease my claustrophobia!

It has been a few years but I've flown that route with SQ and they did disembark everyone at Frankfurt.

Yes you do. If you are flying first/business class or you have elite status on any Star alliance, there is a Lufthansa lounge you can access right near the gate.

One thing to remember at Frankfurt, do NOT proceed into the gate area early as they scan your boarding card and you will NOT be able to leave the gate area until the aircraft is ready to board. What does this mean, 50 seats already taken and 300 people standing all around you.

Yes, you do get off the plane. I flew this route in Nov 2007, but got off in FRA and hopped on a Lufthansa flight to Prague for a few days, then flew back to FRA on an early morning flight to pick up the connecting flight to Singapore. Used FF miles and the only extra charge was the short flight between FRA-PRG which was less than US$100 including all taxes. It was a great way to break up the long journey and I enjoyed seeing Prague.
