california water parks
Can anyone reccomend a family oriented water park in San Diego or LA area. We have been to Hurricane Harbor in NJ and my 13 year old daughter is seeking more thrills! We will be visiting in mid August.
Thanks

I also meant to ask about theme parks or amusement parks in San Diego, LA, SLO, Monterrey, Santa Cruz or SF. Other than Disney and the major ones, are there any anyone can suggest? Thanks again.

Amuement Parks in the San Jose area and Santa Cruz:
Great America

Raging Waters

Bonfante Gardens

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

There are no theme parks in the SF area. The closest one to SF would be Marine World in Vallejo (Oakland area)

The Boardwalk in Santa Cruz is a great place if you are interested in ammusement parks that are a little different than the norm. It's right on the beach, and has a great wooden rollercoaster that I believe is a historical landmark.
