Block Island - are there any cheap hotels at all? Please help!!

I've looked on www.blockisland.com & did a search in google. Seem like all hotels, B&B are over our budget. most ask $200 - $400!!

We were looking to spend under $100. We don't need luxury - just clean and safe.

Does anyone know whether we can get a hotel/hostel/small room for 2 people for under $100 Friday night?

It's Block Island and it's summertime. Put the two together and you get prime season high prices. Go after Labor Day and the prices go tumblin' down.

If I recall correctly there is one place on the island that may be around $100 per night but they're generally booked well in advance for most of the entire summer, especially so for the weekends. Sorry I can't recall the name but I was looking to stay over there for the night two summers ago for a concert and recall finding one place I coule afford but it long since booked.

PS Many places may require a minimum 2-3 night stay regardless of price.
