Any Suggestions for Iceland?
Let me try this again w/o a bland subject!
Hello,
I am looking for suggestions for a 4-5 day trip to Iceland. Any particular time of year or tours recommended? I live in NH so it's a quick flight.
Thanks!

Bring everything you will absolutely need in with you - especially alcohol as this IME was the world's most expensive country
outrageously expensive - and alcohol is especially taxed at absurd levels

I posted about a short trip I took a few years ago here - we were only there for the weekend and based ourselves in Reykjavik:

While we got a good air/hotel package price, food and drink was certainly more expensive than anticipated - at one point, I paid $20 for a gin & tonic!

Without doubt the Airwaves Festival in October. Its a 4 night music festival that takes place in the bars, nightclubs and larger venues in central Reykjavik. Ive been for the last 3 years and no doubt this year again. Icelandair sponsor it so they will soon be announcing packages for it. October 16-19
