Lunch Suggestions in Newport, RI

We need another trip on Southwest to get a free ticket..so we are headed for Newport as aday trip.

We'd like a nice place for lunch with view.

Because of tme restraints, a casual place will make more sense.

Any suggestions?

Definitely the Black Pearl. Built on a wharf, in the middle of shopping district, you eat over the water. Their chowder is considered among the best in RI. Food is good, and, for you guys, it's good because it's easy to find, and, in case it's closed, or full, there are tons of other places to eat nearby.(It's a restaurant, not a clam shack. If you want clam shack, try Flo's, but it's further out.)
Enjoy my home state!
