We are thinking of travelling to Provincetown in September to do whale watching. If you have done this, how rough are the seas in September and October?
Any suggestions for a nice inn or bed and breakfast that are convenient to the whale watching?

We went in August about 8 years ago, and don't remember the seas being rough at all. Saw lots of whales - really cool. Bring ginger tablets (in the vitamin aisle) for sea sickness, if you are worried about the rough waters.

I'd say bring the dramamine no matter what time of year -- you can get really rough seas whenever a storm is coming. We went in August off Cape Cod from Hyannis which is a longer ride to the waters off Provincetown where the whales are. My husband, two sons, and 70 percent of the people on our boat got really seasick. Nobody had taken dramamine in our group. If you are worried about getting sea sick you are wise to leave from Provincetown.

We went whale watching from Provincetown last year in September and the seas were not all that rough. However, if you are prone to motion sickness, I would be sure to bring something just in case. The whale watching was awesome. Better than we experienced in Hawaii! Didn't stay in Provincetown though so can't help with any B & B's. Enjoy your trip!

I went on a whalewatch out of P'town 2 years ago in early September and the seas were calm. I took a Dramamine-- just in case-- and they now have a less-drowsy formula of Dramamine. Do a search on your computer by typing Provincetown (or Outer Cape) B&B's and you'll probably find something.
