We flew with Aeroflot from Beijing to Moscow and back and lived to tell the tale . . .

The flight was fine; we found it not substantially different from any other flight we've taken anywhere around the world, with the possible exception that there was rather more legroom than usual.

I think Aeroflot still using Tuplolev 154's ( would be in your agent's computer as a 'TU5' ). These aircraft not as good as their newer types which included even 777's. However they are cheap. Remember you are flying at a low fare and treat it as something different and you will enjoy. Ask agent to check aircraft type. Certainly on their flights to/from Bangkok I have heard good reviews ( remembering that they are cheap ).

I actually was willing to try Aeroflot from BKK to Kathmandu. My travel agent - who is THE best - refused to book me saying that w/o regard to the safetly problems, that airline too often will not respect your booking & will not help you, also will over book and just tell you to drop dead. I thought it not worth the hassle & went on Thai air - which was a little more expensive, but wonderful.
