Does anybody have any experiences to share about the Riu Turquesa (sp?) hotel in Varadero, Cuba? I am looking for a nice all-inclusive, but with Villa or Bungalow accomodation, and this one seems to fit the bill. <BR> <BR>Thanks!

Hi Renee, you could check out the Riu web site at www.riuhotels.com then go to the forum area to see what they say. <BR>I have never been to the Riu chain but am going this spring, I have chosen the Riu Las Morlas for 2 weeks. I don't think you can go wrong with the chain. <BR>Have a good holiday! Larry

Thanks for the info Larry! <BR> <BR>I have tried the site, but each link opens up another set of frames with the same top and side banner. Inside an ever-shrinking frame, I am unable finally to see what I want to see. I don't know who designed it but it's a dog! <BR> <BR>Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wing it, or try elsewhere.

Yes, please!! If you can even give me the exact URL of the page for Riu Turquesa, I could go directly there. <BR> <BR>The site works for me, but it opens with a top banner that covers half the screen. Each link I click opens another top banner that covers more of the screen, and finally I can't see anything..... harumf.

Renee, I found one comment about the hotel but there is an e-mail address where you could contact these people. There is no web page for that hotel, you must go to the main site, and yes it sucks. The hotel is a distance from town and not on the main Varadero beach. You could also look at Sol Palmeras, they have bungalows and a terrific beach. Thanks again Larry! I had not planned to book for a while because I am having a hard time deciding, and thought I just might wait to see what comes on sale last minute.....fly by the seat of my pants, so to speak!! Have a great trip!
