Micronesia or Fiji?

I spent almost two years on the island of Ponape. It is called the garden island for good reason. It has a very nice hotel called "The Village." The natives are very friendly. The town of Kolonia has some modern amenities. The majority of the island is rather primitive. This would be a great place to spend a few days on vacation. I think that you would find more to do on a honeymoon in Fiji though. Maybe you could do some island hopping to see several of the Micronesia islands.

Lived and travel all over both. Fiji.

Fiji. Fiji. Fiji.

Micronesia is a nice place to visit and there are reasonable hotels and nice sights.

But Fiji is the only choice if you were thinking about an exclusive resort and also wanted some very interesting sites as well. Even if you don't want something that pricey, you have your choice in Fiji as well. There is just 1000% more to do there you won't be disappointed.

Even if you're a diver you can do very well in Fiji on some of Vanua Levu. (Cousteau's resort is there) But it is true that you can do even better in Micronesia.
