HILTON INT'L HOTEL at Orchard Road, SINGAPORE
My family and I are planning to stay at the Hilton during our trip to Singapore this October. Do you recommend this hotel?
We have previously stayed at the Raffles, Four Seasons, and Shangri-La. But Hilton's advantage is its location.
I wonder if their rooms are nice and their rates reasonable.

Hilton is right behind Four Seasons. In fact, they are connected by a bridge. It is not as grand as the other 3 hotels that you have stayed at before, but it's centrally located, especially for shopping. There are many designer boutiques in Hilton itself. Hilton is also on Orchard Road which is the main shopping area. The rates should be cheaper than the other 3 hotels.

Hilton's rooms are not among the best in Singapore. I always feel that if you've stayed in one Hilton, you've seen all Hiltons. I hate the feeling of waking up in a room and not knowing which part of the world I'm at until I check the Phone directories. The Hilton will give you that kind of feeling.
Highly recommend you switching to another hotel if you're concerned about a nice room. Cos' the rooms are not as good as the other Singapore hotels you've stayed in. Guess you're better off at the Four Seasons, which is just one building away.

Why not consider the Grand Hyatt? It is located in Scotts Road just off Orchard Road. Very good location and a great hotel!
The Grand Rooms are very good and the staff know your name as soon as you've arrived. The staff at the Regency Club are just great!
They also have a very good restaurant, Mezza9. It opened late 1998 and is really hip. Very funny to see the Chefs at work in the different show kitchens.
