Looking for info on this resort and this area of Cuba. Opportunities for excursions or tours, weather in March ( especially the humidity ), the food, rooms , beach and activities at this resort....... <BR>All info ---- the good, the bad, and the ugly, are welcome. Thanks in advance!

In March Havana in average has a day temperature of about a little more than 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It has in average 7 sun hours per day this month. The minimum temperature is in average about 68 degrees Fahrenheit. As far as I know Cayo Coco is a little island south of the main island. Then it is a pearl, but also somewhat isolated. Do go around Cuba and see the many fantastic places. You can rent a car or go with the officiel tourist buses. E-mail me if you need more information. Nils

I was in Cayo Coco, in June. Lovely, quiet place with beautiful beaches. Water sports, horseback riding, trips to nearby villages, the usual, are all available. I took an interisland flight to Havana, for $150US. Great flight, saw the island in a new perspecitve, and spent the day and night in Havana. Was worth the trip, but pricey! Humidity in Cuba is always high, but March is one of the driest months. Not a lot of activity, but there is a great disco at the neighboring hotel Sol Club Cayo Coco. You can rent a moped and get there easily. If you're looking for a quiet, restful time, with excellent beaches and service, Cayo Coco is for you. I stayed at the Sol Club Cayo Coco in April. The resort is beautiful, the food great, the staff very friendly. Everything was A-1. You won't find much info on this resort as it has only been open since Feb/98. Club Tryp is very, very large. We walked the beach to there almost daily. I personally prefer the smaller resort (Sol Club) but it all depends on how long you like to wait in lines, crowds, etc. <BR>Actually Sol Melia is in the process of building a brand new 5 star resort next to the Sol Club. If anyone knows the name of it please post as my husband and I would like to go there for our 25th anniversary next March. Also if you go the 3rd week in April you will be there for the 2nd annual Cayo Coco carnival - it's supposed to be fantastic. We were there for the preparations but flew out the day it started. Bad timing so I guess we have to go back! <BR>
