Queenstown CBD, NZ, parking fees increase

For those traveling to Queenstown: CBD parking rates will increase, but the local bus fee has been lowered to $2.
"In other changes, from 31 March next year there will no longer be an option for daily or weekly rates, with a maximum 10-hour stay applying to most car parks, nor will there be free all day parking in areas like the Queenstown Gardens and One Mile car parks."

On our last visit to QT, Bill and I talked about the parking fees there being the best deal in NZ. Something like $2 for several hours? I doubt the increase will deter visitors much.
