5 hour layover in Toronto (YYZ). Can I leave airport?
I will be flying back from Prague to the US with a 5 hour layover in Toronto. Can I clear Canada immigration for a couple of hours to meet a Canadian friend at the Airport? Then go through security/immigration & US security preclearance again to catch my flight on to the US? I am a US citizen. Thanks in advance, Jake.

I don’t see why not unless your incoming flight is significantly delayed. As a US citizen you don’t need a visa, and 5 hours should give you enough time to clear customs and immigration. Keep in mind however that you will need to go through US customs before going through security and to your gate. The lines can be quite long so keep an eye on the time.
