train tickets Paris to Zurich

I want to travel from Paris to Zurich on June 30. Where do I buy tickets from?

Which train station do i pick in Zurich? After reaching Zurich I want to go to Wengen.

From where do buy a Swiss pass? Do Swiss pass holders get a cheaper rate on TGV from Paris to Zurich.

Thanks for your help.

Use https://www.captaintrain.com/ for the trains from Paris. I suspect that if you can get a early bird price it will beat any price with a Swiss pass but a regular French fare.

The Awesomes12: You keep asking very general questions about traveling by train and "picking" train stations, which is not how it works. You don't have the option to pick stations. Go to www.seat61.com and familiarize yourself with train travel in Europe.

I suppose you want to visit friends at Zurich, otherwise this big detour between Paris and Wengen wouldn't make any sense.

The fact that cities in europe often have multiple train station does not mean you can just go to one you want. Generally, train stations are used for those trains going to/fro a particular direction (so the entire city is;t madly crisscrossed by trains in 14 different directions).

Just as in NYC if you want specific trains you must go to the ONE station that has trains to that area. Trains to NJ and south all leave from Penn Station. Amtrak trains to north leave from Penn Station. Trains to LI leave from Penn Stations. Regional trains up the Hudson and into CT leave from Grand central.

Similarly in europe you pick the trains that go where you want and then go to the station from which they leave.

And agree Zurich is the long way around. Have you looked at bahn.de, which has schedules for all of europe?

The most convenient trains from Paris to Wengen leave from the Gare de Lyon and go through Basel and Interlaken and take about 6 hours.

With a Swiss Pass, you only need a ticket from Paris to Basel, as the pass covers you continuing on the same train to Zurich.

BUT as fares work like budget air fares - totally unrelated to distance, it might be (say) 45 euros Paris to Basel and also 45 euros to Zurich, so an expensive Swiss Pass day might save nothing.

So do the maths - see what prices you get - before deciding to use a pass for any of it!
