Rentalcars.com: anyone use this broker for car rental in France?

I have always used AutoEurope, but my TA got me a good price on a car in Avignon through rentalcars.com. And, of course, now I am having second thoughts and kicking myself for not just doing it myself through AE. Just wondering if anyone has used them? Thanks.

Thanks,Michael. I tried to use the Search function before I posted and could not find this thread. it's confirming my suspicions. Back to the drawing board on this one.

I highly recommend that people don't book with Rentalcars.com. We paid in full for a 9 seater van for 10 days rental with Rentalcars.com. When we got there the van had been rented to somebody else. Long story short, no other vans were available at any agencies so we had to arrange a pickup from 400km away at a significantly higher price. Rentalcars said that because 'we cancelled the booking' they were charging us 3 days cancellation fee.
One of the guys at another agency said that this was quite a regular occurrance.

On that thread there were/are too many one time posters that one should not take any notice of (good or bad reviews). The poster above is in the same category.

I suggest everyone to do not use rentalcars at all. I was booking a car from LOCAUTO though rentalcars and i had a lot of trouble. They charged me 610 euro for something that I was reporting before leaving the agency and it was also in the report. I am fighting since a month but there is no way to solve the matter. I saw in internet tis company with a fleet of less than 100 cars is taking money from the visa card of hundreds of people all over the world. RENTALCARS is giving them the preis. Look wherever in internet. Rentalcars is monitoring their mandant? Do they know internet r what? Incredible
