First visit to Spain and France

My sister and I are planning a trip to Europe for Sept 2013. From England we have so far thought of the following:
Fly to barcelona Sept 1
Fly to Nice Sept 5
Fly to Paris Sept 9
Fly back to England Sept 12

Having never been to any of these places, any suggestions on timeframe or days spent in each city would be great. Nice to Paris alternative travel options would also be appreciated.

I would spend less time in Nice and more in Paris.

Yes, I would say 2-3 days in Nice.

Also, I'm from Barcelona and I would add one day. There are so many things to visit! And you can also relax on the beach one morning if you find it too stressful.

If it were me, I would do:
Barcelona - sept 1
Nice - sept 6
Paris - sept 9
Back home - sept 12

Don't hesisitate to ask if you need advice on what to do/visit/eat/go out in Barcelona!

My opinion:

You need a lot more time in Paris...less everywhere else...since you have never been to Paris.

This is not a knock on Barcelona or Nice (and I don't want to start a flame war), but I would designate at least as many days in Paris as the other two together. It's just bigger with more amazing things to see and do:

Barcelona - 3 days
Nice - 2 days
Paris - 6 days

or...

Barcelona 4 days (get your beach fix in Barcelona as mentioned above)
Paris 7 days

A week in Paris will not leave you not tired of being there. It will leave you wishing you had more time and wanting to come back.
