Hotel at De Gaule

I searched the forums for this topic but the most recent post was in 2003, so I thought I'd see if there were any updates. We need a room at the airport for the last night of our trip because our flight leaves at 9:30 am and we don't want to be rushed. I know there are several choices, but would appreciate recommendations for something reasonably priced, convenient and quiet. Thanks!

There is a Sheraton that's actually IN the airport.

I stayed at that CDG Sheraton. Nothing could be more convenient.

Last June we stayed at the Novotel. Much less expensive than the Sheraton. It was comfortable and convenient.

For what it's worth, we had a 10-hour o/n layover in Paris on our way back from Kenya, otherwise I would always choose to stay in the city.

By the way, when I was looking for a CDG hotel, I perused this thread from 2011:

Have a nice trip!

We stayed at the Ibis mentioned above which is great is your are taking the RER from Paris since it is basically right at the RoissyPole station and then easy to get to either terminal 1 or 2 to leave. Our only complaint as I remember was that the windows didn't open so it was hard to get fresh air-but it has been a couple of years so don't quote me on that.....

IBIS PARIS CDG TERMINAL ROISSY

Rooms 50-130€
I have stayed here. It is as convenient as the two above hotels, but rooms are far smaller (and cheaper, around 50-130 euros) and more spartan, the lobby is often chaotic with people trying to check in and out, and the last time I was there, the "restaurant" featured frozen foods that you microwave. You can, of course, walk to the nearby Novotel and eat in their restaurant. To arrive here, you'll have to walk from Terminal 3 (about 10 minutes) or take the automated CDG rail system, CDGVAL, to the Roissypôle stop (also where you find the RER rail station for central Paris) from Terminals 1 and 2.

We've stayed at the nearby Marriott and loved it. Also stayed the the Millenium and it was 'meh'. Both offer free shuttles to the terminals but if your flight is early watch out... shuttles don't start running until 6.

You can get great deals using Priceline so look into betterbidding.com and learn the ins and outs.
