Paper Festival in Portugal

I received nice pictures from Paper Festival, but I could not find any information about date & place where this event is held.
Is anybody here who knows more details?

I think is this one you are looking for. In Portuguese is called Festa dos Tabuleiros. It is held in the city of Tomar every 4 years.
If you search for the Portuguese name you nwill have more info or go to

I think it takes place in the last week of August and you'd better search it as "fiesta del papel en Portugal"

Senozkadir, Sorry for correcting you but "fiesta" and "del" are spanish words. In Portuguese is Festa dos tabuleiros. Usually is in July every 4 years

Yes,you are right LLING,my quick search was in Spanish but I think we are talking about two different "festa"s
What I meant was "festa do papel" in Campo Maior (Portalegre)but anyway I am glad to learn that there is another one held in the city of Tomar.

Hi Valtor, As far as I know, the paper festival in Campo Major has no fixed dates. The last one was in 2011 and I can't find any plans for this year. Essentially, they do it when they're ready - it takes years for the local community to make the millions of paper flowers they use to decorate the streets.

There is a biennial festival which will take place from 3-11 august 2013 in Redondo, Portugal, called Ruas Floridas (Streets of Flowers) http://www.cm-redondo.pt/pt/conteudos/Ruas+Floridas/

Thank you, Julie. I do not plan to go this year in Portugal, just wanted to know more, maybe in the next 1-2 years I'll go and I'll be there during this festival. However, if the dates are not fix, it is difficult for a tourist to plan to be there when this is held.

The paper Festival in Campo Maior is called "Festas do Povo".
Due to the amount of work done voluntary by the locals, it is not held everyyear.
This year there is a mini Festival.
