Easy island to visit in May
Looking for a last minute getaway in May. Flying in from Cleveland/Akron airport. Beach sun and safety . 2 adults who aren't into the all inclusive type resorts.. Quiet &,peaceful with a easy vibe to it.

Consider St. Maarten, Grand Case. There is a lovely boutique hotel L'Esplanade, on the french side of the island, This property is quiet and peaceful and the rooms have all been refurbished and are sleek and unique. The sister hotel L' Petit is worth taking a look at also and is at the opposite end of Grande Case.
Grande Case offers a wide variety of fine dining and casual dining all within footsteps of either one of these properties. We felt safe walking downtown in the evenings, even late night after having cocktails.
From Cleveland, you can be on the island by 1P with an early out flight.

Turks and Caicos. We went in a May and the weather was perfect. Lots of hotels and condo units directly on Grace Bay beach. One of the best beaches in the Caribbean and also considered one of the safest. Definitely a peaceful and quite island. Do rent a car so you can get to the other areas and dining options.
