the journey of planning continues . . .PARIS APARTMENT

For those on this journey with me I have had yet another hiccup in my planning. I won't go into details but we are still looking for our Paris apartment or hotel with interconnecting doors near the Lux gardens.

However . . . as the trip is fast approaching and things are becoming rare . . .we have come across this company and they have recommended this area

http://www.guestapartment.com/neighbourhood.html

The apartment is amazing but the rate is over double what we wanted to spend. In saying that you get 180dg views over Paris though . .it is spectacular! But at over 4000euros I guess you would expect that.

Anyway I know some of you have wiped your hands but those that have stayed somewhere in this area in a 2bed/3bed apartment of even a hotel with interconnecting doors that think I would like please share.

The "neighborhood" is great as long as it's off the main drag, Rue Saint-Louis en Isle which can be very busy. Is that the question? Would Ile Saint-Louis be a good place to stay? I'd say an unequivocal yes. Hence the price. If you can stretch to accommodate the price I think it would be great.

Pretty damn nice location.

Hotel K&K Cayre has adjoining rooms, I believe. I booked them for a client with children and they were pleased. I stayed half a block away in much less expensive digs and would go back in a moment.

Wonderful. Faces the right bank so you'll see the Sacre Coeur in the distance if the view is as they say.

More than E500 a night? Nuts. Get a hotel. You really are crazy.

I don't know about the one you linked but this is where I stayed in 2006 and it was wonderful. Plus the staff were very helpful.

http://www.alacarte-paris-apartments...Classical.html. It's expensive but I think cheaper than the one you have been looking at. I don't know if it's available but it can't hurt to ask.

Two good sizes bedrooms and bathroom with separate toilet.

The reason I wasn't sure is that your post said over '€400' - and that one is €594 a night! Literary license I guess

I'm sorry - but for someone who originally was looking for semi moderate accommodations . . . €594 a night is waaaaay out there.

thanks cathie! Would of been perfect but it's not available.

I had seen good things about the company above but this is the only apartment left now.

I will look into hotels today with adjoining rooms.

Thanks for helping

They handle everything perfectly at guestapartment.com; I sent my mother ahead on her own, knowing she'd be well taken care of by Philippe and company.

If you can realistically afford it without hardship, the apartment looks very nice with views to DIE FOR.

I honestly can't believe the only apartment you can find costs more than €5,000 a week. It is lovely, but two toddlers and all those objets d'art and collectibles? What is the damage/security deposit?

have you asked ParisPerfect if they have anything available. They tend to be expensive but not nearly as expensive as your new 'favorite'
