Grand Princess, Kauai and Maui
Will probably get off the ship at these two ports. No interest in organized tours, but suggestions as to spending the day would be welcome. No water sports.

For Kauai, Waimea Canyon would be an interesting place to stop, definity not your typical Hawaii scenery. It has been called the Grand Canayon of Hawaii. There is also the botanic garden, wildlife refuge etc.
There are lots to do in Maui. Haleakala National Park would be a great place to start. A scenic drive to Hana would give you sights that rival any coastal highway you have ever seen.
If the time is right, whale watching woukdl be fun.

I never liked the idea of taking public transportation while on a cruise port stop. The stop is so short that I would like to maximize my time on sight seeing; and the chance for bad things happening on a public transportation system is big: missing a stop, get on the worng bus / train and not knowing the schedule. Taking big risk.
If I am there for a few days, then it is a different story.
