What's UP with the euro.?? Checked today / 137 ouch!!

Could be that your currency is down as much as the euro is up!

Well we have five hundred at home bought at about 1.31, but all our reservations in Spain for later this year, made in US dollars are then converted into euros. OUCH

Euro is up against most major currencies because of optism over Euro crisis and good news on Euro economy.

it's gone up just as we were thinking of buying some for our trips to Ireland and Italy later this month.

assuming that is $1.37 to 1 euro, that isn't really very extraordinary at all. It's been a lot higher than that at times in recent years. It was higher than that most of 2011, for example, as well as second half of 2009 and a lot of 2008. It was really high in 2008.

Agree, I think it was close to 1.58 our last time in France.
