my advice would be to forget the London Pass and go for the national rail 2for1 discounts:

http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/2for1london

instead of buying an Oyster, purchase a paper travel card for each day you'll be there. You'll be covered for public transportation and you'll get the 2for1 discounts good for a number of London attractions

-Tower Bridge Exhibition
-Tower of London
-St Paul's
-London Eye
-Madame Tussauds
-Apsley House
-Kensington Gardens

and many other. The only requirement is that you purchase the paper travel cards from a national rail station like Waterloo or St Pancras. you CANNOT purchase these from a tube station or at Heathrow

<i>is the mega bus the way to go?</i>

Assuming it's not a weekend then MegaTRAIN is the way to go

<i>we want to see about 7 attractions</i>

It would help if you told us WHICH attractions - and which airport you are arriving at.

But for a 4 day visit I would use Oystercard PAYG for days you aren't interested in visiting attractions on the 2-4-1 website and on the days you want to visit those attractions buy a 1 day zone 1-2 Travelcard. You can buy them the day before you need them - just make it clear which day you want them for and on the day don't use the Oystercard at all.

"Regents Park" BTW is about as helpful as saying you are staying near Central Park in New York.

we will be traveling from heathrow.
we are interested in the museums, windsor castle
the london bridge experience, the london tower bridge
the thames river cruise, and st Pauls
we have already seen the tower of london, some of
buckingham palace in a short stay a few years ago.
also is the mega train the same as the mega bus or is there
a great cost difference.
we come in kind of late the first evening, can we buy a ticket on the picadilly from heathrow?
so a good deal would be the 2/1 from the national rail?

The museums are mostly free, Windsor is not on the 2for1 scheme, and of all the attractions in London, the London Bridge Experience is one of the lamest. The Tower Bridge Experience - slightly less lame.

"<i>we come in kind of late the first evening, can we buy a ticket on the picadilly from heathrow?</i>"

How late? Makes a difference. Assuming you arrive before the tube stops running, you can buy an underground ticket (Oyster) at LHR.

thank you, everyone has been very helpful.
I was looking at the mega-train amd saw that from london to
southampton was only 2 pounds and the rail was about 35.oo pounds. does this sound correct?
