Crete for 3 days
I have 3 spare nights that I may want to stay in Crete. It's a relatively large island.
Where should I exactly stay in Crete to maximise my exposure to ancient Minoan relics/ruins and yet also have superb beachside relaxation and also see some naturally beautiful areas.
Thanks

Hmmm... Well most of the visitable ruins cluster round the area from Iraklion to Agios Nikolaios; which latter is also very good for beachy stuff.
Ag Nik, I think; then you can do the Lassithi plateau as well

Hi there Clausar!
I did a "blog" to friends while traveling. I might just edit it somewhat and use it for my trip report.
Trip was awesome - the Greek people were the nicest we have ever met. Looking at the rain outside my window, I wish I was still there!
