Florence to Modena and Modena to Venice help
Hi Fodor Forum
A quick query - anyone know the best way to get from FLorence to Modena? Looking at Trenitalia it seems that train is quite convenient with a change in Bologna. Would people agree?
Also, from Modena to Venice? I can't seem to get an answer from trenitalia... Is the Modena train station on trenitalia just 'Modena' or the Modena Piazza Manzoni or Modena Policino?? And I assume Venice train station is just 'Saint Lucia'.
Thanks!

Modena is a lovely town with excellent food. While not a tourist area, the region is known for its food. The center of the town is a pedistrian only area, which is nice for strolling.
Modena is about a 15-20 minute ride from Bologna. You'll pass the Maserati plant on the left as you enter town. The Ferrari factory is about 10 miles away by bus. They have a nice quasi-museum there.
Bologna is your transfer station for anything coming in or out of Modena.
