How much spending money will I need for 7 days in Cabo?

Hello,

I'm heading to Cabo (and Mexico, really) for the first time at the end of the month to attend a week-long yoga retreat. Since I've never been and know nothing about how things are priced there, I'm seeking advice on how much should *comfortably* cover my activities on the trip. The accommodation and three meals a day have already been taken care of. I'm looking for advice on how much cash I should bring for daily adventure-type activities (kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, etc), some light shopping, and snack money. I'm not a club-goer or bar-hopper, so nighttime entertainment won't really need to be part of my budget.

I appreciate any insight you can provide!

Thank you!!!

Go to a website (like www.cabosanlucastours.net) and price the especific activities you might be interested in.

My normal figure in Mexico (PV or Cabo) is ~$100usd per day per person but that's for food (2-3 meals out), drinks (including beer, wine and cocktails), snacks, local transportation, and some shopping.

But formal activities like fishing, boating, diving, etc. can be really expensive. I think it's impossible for us to answer your question in a general way. A bit more research and you'll be able to make a budget for yourself.

Have fun. Cabo's great! suze

Thank you for the $100 per day guideline. Definitely helpful! If there's any activities I shouldn't miss, please let me know. Thanks again!

Well really it's not really helpful (haha) because my trips are completely different than what you say you will be doing.

I'm more a low-key person. I just like to arrive, stay at a downtown hotel, kick around town, sun at the pool, go to the beach, wander around town. I've been to Mexico (20+ times) mostly Puerto Vallarta but also Cabo and La Paz, I've yet ever to do a paid-for activity. Not saying right or wrong, just I shouldn't be giving advice on the subject

You also want to check on over at Tripadvisor.com on the Cabo FORUM (not hotel reviews section but a forum like this one). There is an incredibly large and helpful group of regular Cabo lovers there who will help you. Only a few people who know Cabo post here on Fodors.
