Advice on where to stay in Umbria

Has anyone stayed at L'Antico Forziere, Restaurant and Country House Hotel, Casalina, near Deruta? We are looking for a place to stay in Umbria which is central to Assisi, Spello and Todi. Any advice on this or other lodgings?

I like the area near Bevagna for location and this place to stay http://www.geniuslociumbria.com/
There are others in the area, but my son liked this one.

Bevagna is indeed very centrally located for other day trips in the area. The place Bob suggests above is beautiful, if you are interested in an agriturismo just outside the little town. When we were in Bevagna several years ago we stayed at a lovely small hotel called Palazzo Brunamonti which I can highly recommend. Clean and lovely rooms, great breakfast, fabulous staff and owners.

In May, we stayed in Bevagna. We found it to be a charming small town which has some historical interest & has many good restaurants! It is central to all the places you want to visit. There are public parking lots just outside the perimeter of town for easy in-and-out access for day trips. And the people we encountered were lovely! We stayed in Palazzo Brunamonti & would recommend it as well!

Bevagna makes a good base since it's on the flat and easy to make driving daytrips from. Whereas Montefalco is up high on a hill and therefore not so convenient.

Some nice restaurants in Montefalco. We enjoyed walking up to the old town. Our hotel was a few miles from the old town and on the flat. Easy to get to Spello and many others, like Assisi as our hotel in Montefalco is close to the highway leading to those towns. We also like Bevagna. BUT mikej48, you seem to have found a lovely hotel. Happy trip and deciding where to stay.

One of our best meals in Umbria was in Montefalco at L'Alchimista.
