The Beatles and Cirque du Soleil -- guess we'll be going back to Vegas

I just got through reading the press releases about the new Beatles/Cirque du Soleil show which will replace Siegfried and Roy at the Mirage. One more reason that I'll be going back to Vegas as soon as possible.

By the way, has anyone heard any rumors about the "main attraction" at the new Wynn Resort going up on the Strip? While on a tour in Vegas the other night, our tour guide told us Mr. Wynn was saying that the yet-to-be announced attraction was going to make the fountains at Bellagio look like "small potatoes", or something to that effect. Has any info leaked out?

The last I heard Wynn Las Vegas would have a man made mountain and 3 acre lake in front of the hotel. The website has no information.
Great, another Cirque du Soleil show. Can't wait.

Don't pack your bags yet, the Beatles/Cirque show is not slated to open until 2006.

Anyone seen this yet? Please post a review. I'm thinking of taking my husband for his 50th birthday since he's a huge Beatle's fan.

Entertainment Weekly had a blub recently:

http://www.ew.com/ew/report/0,6115,1198202_4_0_,00.html

"Journalists were invited to the Mirage this week for a media event previewing Love, a show that brings together two highly prized brand names, the Beatles and Cirque du Soleil. ... Only about 15 minutes of the 90-minute production were previewed. Critics will have to wait till the June 30 gala premiere, though previews begin shortly at the Mirage, on June 2. But, based on what we saw (and heard), it's safe to say that the Fab Faithful, as well as Cirque-aholics, will soon be flocking to the desert by the tens of thousands for the first authorized ''live'' ticketed Beatles event since the band gave up touring in 1966."

Much more at the link above.

Beatles/Cirque? Are you serious? They've combined these 2 different things into one show?? Oh, horror!
