Brussels, Brugge, ZeeBrugge Transporation...Need Help Badly!
Hi Luc Claes,
I am looking for help/suggestion with a transportation issue.
We are leaving on a cruise out of ZeeBrugge at 1800; prior to that, we will be coming from Brussels.
First, what is the best way to get from Brussels to ZeeBrugge, and how long will it take?
Second, once at ZeeBrugge, we want to check-in our luggage (which has been already arranged) and then head to Brugge for 6-7 hours. We of course, then need to get back to ZeeBrugge from Brugge. So looking for the easiest/fastest way to do this.
Thanks for your help in advance...

Here it is:
http://www.b-rail.be/main/F/
their site is only in French & Dutch right now, no German or English. correct times down to the minute, though . . .
HTH, it's an easy back & forth to Brugge.

Train and the best timetable in my view, including the Benelux countries, is that of Deutsche Bahn at www.reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/e

Hi,
If I read your message well, you would leave Brussels for Zeebrugge in the morning, check-in your luggage in Zeebrugge, then go back to Brugge to visit till you have to board in the evening.
The train will do.
It takes about 1 hour 15 minutes from Brussels to Zeebrugge. You will most certainly have to change trains in Brugge, which is quite easy.
I don't know on which dock you are boarding your ship, some are close, some are far from the train station, but I am sure someone will be able to inform.
The Zeebrugge-Brugge train trip takes about 15 minutes. The Brugge train station is at about a 15 minutes walk from the city center. In late afternoon, you can take the train back to Zeebrugge.
The easiest/fastest way to do could also be to take a taxi. You can ask any cab driver in Brugge how much it would cost to bring you to the ship. It will, of course, be a lot more expensive than the train...
