Madrid to Figueres to Cadaques

Hi,
What's the best way to get to Cadaques, from Madrid?

It looks like Cadaques doesn't have a train station, and we would need to take a train from madrid to Figueres. Is this correct? How do we travel from Figueres to Cadaques?

We're considering travelling from Madrid to Figueres by Renfe train , finish a visit to the Dali museum, and then head to Cadaques by Sarfa Bus.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Shreya

We went a few years ago. But we took the train to Barcelona for sa week and then rented a car. We spent 3 nights in Begur with a day trip to Figueres and then drove on to Cadaques. Loved it all!

I think you've identified the way to do it -- train to Figueres, bus to Cadaques. if you haven't already seen it, you can get an idea of your options from rome2rio.com, but please check anything you learn there, as it is not sensitive to seasonal variation.

We're also looking for a place to keep our luggage (will have at least 6-7 bags with us). Any idea if there's a luggage storage facility at the Figueres train or bus station?

In 2010, we spent 5 or 6 nights in Barcelona. Then we rented a car to drive along the Costa Brava. We stayed in Cadaques 1 night. My husband did the driving. The road over the mountains to Cadaques was a bit scary, with many, many switchbacks. So if you decide to drive, do not drive at night, and just be cautious and drive slow. We loved having the freedom of the car; we went to Dali's house in Port Lligat, and drove up to Cap de Creus. Very beautiful. If you plan on visiting Dali's house, you must make reservations a day in advance.
