Belize trip report-April 3-10th

Just got back from Belize. Our main purpose was to visit different locations for bid and wildlife photography. One info I would like to share as this keeps coming up in the forum on a regular basis. We are Indian passport holders with valid US B1/B2 visa. There is no fee to be paid. Immigration and customs took less than 20 mins.

Crooked tree- spent 3 nights at beck's bed and breakfast. Water levels at the lagoon was low and saw numerous birds including large number of Jabiru stork. The b&b was outstanding for other birds. Went on a day trip twith lamanai eco tours. The boat trip was one of the highlights.

From crooked tree went to La Milpa for 2 nights. This place is secluded and we had a quite peaceful stay. Saw some birds but no cats.

Our last stay was at Pook' hill lodge for 2 nights. Would rate this as one of the best places for bird watching. The property has well maintained trails and the deck at the reception is nice place for to photograph birds.

Very memorable stay all through. Although very humid during the day the nights were very pleasant. Would like to thank the forum members for their suggestions

I have a question about pooks lodge. Regarding their birding tours, do you recommend the paid birding tour or the free birding tour that pooks' offers? Any suggestions?
I have 1 full morning to choose as i like

I am not aware of paid birding tour.I had asked for a guide and was told by the owner that it was an individual decision on how much to tip. The guides are very good.
