Restaurants in Jasper, Alberta

Any recommendations for nice places to eat in Jasper would be greatly appreciated. Going this summer. Price is not an object. Good food/nice establishment are the only prerequisites. Thank you.

There are lots of places to eat in town, so it's hard to suggest options without knowing a bit more.

Do you want more formal? Less formal? What type of food - brew pub? Indian? Pizza? Continental? BBQ? Italian?

For a special night, you can book one of the restaurants at the Jasper Park Lodge. Otherwise there are a variety of mid range options on or near Connaught Street.

kgsneds, what about the restaurant at Becker's Chalets? I haven't tried it - wanted to last fall but couldn't fit it in.

Thank you for the replies. We are looking for more formal. Food type is not an issue. Just looking for 2 or 3 spots that folks routinely rate highly.

I'm a bit slow on the uptake here... but I would recommend Syrah's. It's on Patricia Street, one block back from the main run of Connaught. We have enjoyed it more than JPL, in fact although the view is certainly nicer from the Lodge's Orso Trattoria. We keep meaning to try the sushi place in the lower level, it's usually busy and that implies ... something, right?!

Thank you. Which restaurants on Connaught Street in Jasper are most sought after?

Suggest you check Trip Advisor or facsimile for "most sought after." That should also help you figure out more formal vs casual. It's Jasper, so not a formal kind of place.
